What Is This Game?

What is Halloween: The Game?

Halloween: The Game is an asymmetric 1v4 survival horror from developer and publisher IllFonic (with co-publisher Gun Interactive). One player takes on Michael Myers; four others play Civilians working together to survive, finish objectives and escape.

  • 1v4 core — One Michael vs four Civilians in every match.
  • Dynamic loop — The items and possible escapes change between matches; a starting escape creates major noise.
  • Post-death support — An eliminated Civilian keeps supporting, then can return as a Sheriff’s Deputy or Dr. Loomis.
  • Progression — Official material describes character progression, character traits and customization. (No “Perks” taxonomy unless launch data confirms it.)

Maps

Maps & Points of Interest

Maps are structured as linked entities: points of interest, objectives, possible escapes, item logic, resident areas and risk zones. Exact landmarks and POI coordinates are published only once verified; randomized spawns are never claimed as fixed.

  • Named maps — verified named maps take indexable pages once confirmed from the playable/retail build.
  • Map strategy — each map gets match-intelligence guidance instead of a generic reference.
  • Graph links — maps connect to objectives, escapes, items and counters.

Match Systems

Objectives, Police & Escapes

The linked systems that drive every match

Objectives

Each objective has a role, prerequisites, item requirements, map context, result and downstream effect on escapes or the police.

Call Police & Detain

Civilians can call police, and there is a separate path to detain Michael. Exact mechanics must be verified from launch data.

Escape Routes

Escape methods, requirements, setup, noise/risk and Michael counterplay. Possible escapes change between matches.

Post-Death

Post-Death Roles: Deputy & Dr. Loomis

When a Civilian is eliminated, the match isn’t over. They can continue supporting the team, and may return as one of two distinct post-death roles.

  • Sheriff’s Deputy — a returning support role that shifts how the team fights back.
  • Dr. Loomis — a separate post-death role with its own support identity.

Exact abilities of both roles are only described once verified from the playable or retail build.
